Welcome. Sit down, get cosy, and enjoy my new blog. I'm sorry about the abrupt & unexplained disappearance of Inertia. Some stuff happened with my friends at my old school, and someone finally convinced me that it was in everyone's best interests. Things eventually died down, but since F2S is killing their free services in February I figured this was a good time to move. Then, in my usual indecisive fashion, it took me a month to choose my new location, layout, color-scheme, etc. [Jacq!--song on the radio right now: "Hurt"] Now I've dealt with that, but I'm too occupied with other stuff to post when I'm at home. But I'll get into that later.
I'm back in Toronto on a work term, and I'm writing this at work, on my Palm. I've been here for almost two weeks now, and it's not too bad. I'm not exactly making a contribution to anything, but I'm certainly not killing myself either; it's a government job. Supposedly I'll get to do something that actually involves computer-related knowledge next week, or in March, depending on who you talk to. I'm inclined to believe next week. My work takes less than half my day now, and there's another co-op starting on Tuesday. At the moment I'm getting paid good money to sit here and listen to The Edge, sip my Dr. Pepper, and read CNN Mobile. As I said, it's not too bad.
As for the rest of my life, fanfiction, TV, and Neopets have really taken over. Well, more fanfic than anything else. I still visit Neopets most days, but I don't spend as much time on it. On TV, I've stopped caring as much about Days & GH, but there are certain shows that I'm disturbingly addicted to. They're like speed for me; by the time the opening credits roll I'm up, pacing madly around the room, and I rock back and forth on the couch, hugging myself, for the rest of the hour. Fanfic, though, outdoes them both. My current fandom of choice is The West Wing, and in particular the CJ/Toby angle. I don't know how or when it happened, but there's one thing I'm sure of: Kim's to blame. Anyhow, fanfic keeps me up well past a sane hour most nights. (Unless I crash, like last night when I was essentially asleep by nine.)
Now I'm on the bus. I keep seeing people I know. Last week I saw this guy I went to elementary school with, and today a few seats down from me is a guy whose brother I went to elementary school with. On Monday I saw Dj, and on Tuesday we sat together and talked, but I'll leave it at that. If you don't have anything nice to say and so on... Oh, here's my stop. Later.
